Hazel is slowing down

It really does not feel like 11 years ago since we bought home our little ball of Labrador.  We have since added to the pack with Scout who is now 2 years old and I think it is Scout that makes me notice it even more. I have seen in the last few weeks though that Hazel is slowing down on walks and she is finding it increasingly difficult getting out of the stream after her swim.  We have started her on some anti inflammatory medication which does seem to help.   I know her bean bed is brilliant for resting her joints on after a walk.  The beans work even better than an orthopedic mattress because the mold around her joints and keep her well away from the cold floor.  I have also found that the Bio Foam beans have a bit more substance than the polystyrene and just give that extra level of comfort.
